Step Functions and Amazon States Language

Workflow classes represent Step Functions state machines and their ASL documents, state types, branches, map processors, retries, catches, logging, and tracing.

StepFunctionStateMachine

The AWS resource that hosts the deployed orchestration. It chooses the concrete definition source, execution type, alias strategy, execution role, logging, tracing, and SAM event bindings for the workflow.

AslDocument

The typed Amazon States Language document used when the PSM owns the state graph rather than importing an external definition. startAt and contained states form the executable graph that AWS validates.

AslCatchRule

One ASL catch clause that routes named failures to a recovery state and optionally stores the error in a result path. It is the provider-specific form of workflow error handling.
